This AHA course is a two-day course (held at the Simulation Center on Landmark) for those who have never had PALS training or have allowed their PALS Provider card to expire. This course provides information and strategies to: (1) prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children, (2) recognize an infant or child at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, and (3) teach the cognitive and psychomotor skills necessary for resuscitation and stabilizing an infant or child victim of cardiopulmonary arrest. Participants must have knowledge of CPR, pharmacology, and basic rhythm prior to taking the course. A book is required for this course and proof of completion of the pretest with a 70% or greater required to take the class. You must print off the results of your pretest and bring them to class with you. You will not be able to attend the course if you do not have the pretest. It is recommended participants obtain their books at least 2 weeks prior to their class date.
